My attributes:
I am a warm, energetic and highly involved human being and therapist.
Humor as a healing tool.
Humor is a part of me and my way of life and so I see myself fortunate it’s also a great healing tool and a powerful mechanism for change. Humor allows us to create a healthy distance from our problems. It also helps to convey complex understandings in small capsules allowing us to better our ways of thought and interpretation.
Autodidact learning.
Being a curious person I believe in learning all the time from different and diverse sources. For me, my clients are a source of invaluable knowledge. I encourage my clients for autodidact learning via reading materials and trail and eror learning. I also strongly emphasize clients do not substitute my rational to their own and encourage them to questioning and evaluate things for themselves
My recipe for successful treatment.
I believe that everyone has the potential to learn how to deal with his problems affectively and live a good life. Each of us has a unique way to get there so as a therapist I strive for creativity and flexibility in my work to better fit the therapy to your needs and thus help you to get results in the quickest and safest way.
I believe that the first strategy in treatment should be to provide problem focused therapy with the aim of bring a significant and stable change in the shortest way. This is why I usually chose to dive deep into the problem in first session, believing that creating a relationship, building trust and cooperation between client and therapist are built naturally trough doing. Only when this course is utilized to the fullest or when we encounter difficulties and see no advance do we slow down broaden the scope of therapy.
My motto in action:
Dream: we start by imagining the end. Try to imagine your life without you pressing problem? How will your life look like without problems or difficulty? How would you feel? How would you behave? What will you have and do more in life? What will you have and do less or disappear altogether?
Initiate: after we know where we’re going to we start to initiate the change by taking the first steps, First in the clinic and then in the real world.
Execute: After you experience some success and a “spiral of successes” will start so will your advancement will start to show. At this point you begin to see practical, real and measurable changes in your life. This is also the time to start thinking about ending the therapy or setting new goals.
